![]() That's just the first example of a general trend for me. I feel that Setites often get stereotyped to (final) death, and players and ST's alike don't take another approach to what corruption is. If the ST permits, I usually masquerade him as a Brujah, Toreador, or Gangrel to avoid suspicion, having most write him off as a degenerate or another rebel. His methods tend to lead to him butting heads with the more zealous of the clan that view him as unorthodox and reckless. Mind you, I do like to play him as an Occult hunter, having him be somewhat of a heretical philosopher in life, dabbling in esoteric ideas and occult practices. He has a penchant towards Presence and Serpentis, but only the basics in obfuscation, relying more on a very "hands-on" social manipulation using audaciousness and charisma than the usual subtle worming and scheming his clan uses. One of my favorite characters is a non-fanatical Setite biker, with an interpretation that corruption and degenerate behavior is true freedom, and that Set is there to free fetters and make a dark paradise. ![]() Hell, I even fooled myself to believe him to be a good guy. The biggest challenge with the concept was to make me and my character believe that every new girl would be different, that what he did was true romance and that he truly was honorable man in search of true love. I argued that during the Dark Ages, when this chronicle played out, his crime was much worse than what it might be considered today. When I came up with the crime I wanted to do something different. I mentioned him once before on the old white wolf forum, so with the risk of repeating myself I give you Amadore Abruzzesi - The world's greatest lover and asshole! Basicly his crime was to steal other men's women, make them run away with him and to top it off - get bored and ditch them as soon as they left everything for him. My favorite character concept is also a Ravnos. IMO I believe Ravnos should be played as devils, not tricky pickpockets lol they should be cruel and devious! That's a really cool concept! I love the fact that you have worked in setbacks for him that makes the concept a little more hard to play but so much more interesting a unique. His main alternate Identity has recently caught the attention of the Black Hand, which the character is beginning to have sympathy for the ideologies of the Sabbat and their history of allegedly hunting down the Antediluvians (after what the character experienced with the Week of Nightmares) but joining the Hand takes a long recruitment period and he doesn't generally keep identities for too long so we'll see how this plays out. His crime/vice is serial killing (i don't like the easy "im a thief" concepts) and it usually involves killing loved ones of the target who's group he infiltrates, but not always. He's an infiltrator and clan impersonator with 2 alternate identities.
